Remove the work your team shouldn't be doing

Inside most businesses is a layer of invisible software made of spreadsheets, inboxes, and heroic memory. It works until the person who holds it goes on holiday. We replace that layer with operational software: automation for the repetitive 80%, clear queues and approvals for the judgment calls, and dashboards that tell the truth.

The goal is measurable: hours returned, errors prevented, and processes a new hire can learn from the tool instead of from tribal knowledge.

Problems we solve

  • Skilled people spending hours on copy-paste coordination between systems
  • Processes that live in one person's head and break on their day off
  • Reporting assembled manually every week from five exports
  • Approvals and exceptions handled over email with no audit trail
  • Off-the-shelf tools that almost fit — and the gap is where the pain lives

A good fit looks like

  • Operations with a repeating, mappable process and real volume
  • Teams ready to let software do the boring part while keeping the judgment
  • Businesses that need auditability, not just speed

We're best suited to meaningful products, technically demanding builds, and long-term digital assets — less so to trivial one-off tasks. Unsure? Ask; we answer honestly.

Capabilities

Understanding the work

  • Workflow mapping and process archaeology
  • Automation opportunity assessment with honest ROI math
  • Change design: tools people accept, not resent

Building the system

  • Internal applications and operational dashboards
  • Data synchronization between the systems you already use
  • Approval flows with roles, delegation, and full audit trails
  • Document and email automation
  • AI-assisted steps where they measurably help (see Applied AI)

Keeping it honest

  • Exception handling designed as a first-class feature
  • Auditability and compliance-friendly logging
  • Monitoring, alerting, and graceful failure
  • Measurement of the improvement you paid for

Typical deliverables

  • A process map of how the work actually flows today
  • Working automation and internal tools integrated with your stack
  • Dashboards for the metrics operators actually steer by
  • Audit trails and permissioning that satisfy your accountant and your lawyer
  • A measured before/after of hours and error rates

How an engagement runs

  1. Workflow mapping 1–2 weeks · how the work truly happens
  2. Pilot automation one painful process, end to end
  3. Rollout adjacent processes, integrations, training
  4. Operate & measure monitoring, iteration, honest ROI review

Common questions

We already use Zapier/Make/Power Automate. Why custom?

Keep them — for simple glue they're excellent, and we build on them where they suffice. Custom operational software earns its cost when you need state, queues, approvals, audit trails, error handling, or logic beyond a trigger-action chain. The assessment tells you which side of that line your process sits on.

Will automation break when our other tools change?

Integrations fail; the design question is how loudly and how safely. We build with explicit contracts, retries, dead-letter queues, and alerting — so a failed sync becomes a ticket with context, not a silent data hole discovered at month-end.

Where do humans stay in the loop?

Wherever a mistake would be expensive, irreversible, or unfair: approvals, exceptions, and anything customer-visible by default. Automation should compress judgment work, not counterfeit it.

How do we know it paid off?

We baseline before building — hours spent, error rates, cycle times — and measure after. If the numbers don't move, that's a finding, not a secret.
