Common questions
What stack do you use?
A deliberately boring core — TypeScript, proven frameworks, managed cloud services, PostgreSQL-class databases — with newer tools only where they earn their risk. The interesting choices should be in your product, not in the plumbing.
Can you modernize without a full rewrite?
That's usually the only responsible way. We favor strangler-pattern modernization: carve out capabilities behind stable interfaces, replace incrementally, keep the business running. A ground-up rewrite is occasionally right — and we'll show you the math before recommending one.
Do you hand over or stay involved?
Both models work. Everything is built to be handed over — documentation, infrastructure as code, no private magic. Many clients keep us as the senior engineering partner after handover; some transfer fully to an internal team we help hire and onboard.
How do you price platform work?
Discovery is fixed-price. Builds are scoped in cycles with a clear definition of done per cycle, so you're never more than a few weeks from a decision point. We don't publish rate cards because scope honesty matters more than a number out of context — but you'll have real figures after the first conversation.
